Slightly Stoopid singer buys Ocean Beach’s The Harp pub
Miles Doughty, frontman of rock-reggae band Slightly Stoopid, has bought The Harp Irish pub in his hometown, Ocean Beach.
The previous owner died recently, and Doughty, with a few of his friends, jumped in to take over the establishment at 4395 Newport Ave.
“I mean, it’s awesome, dude,” Doughty told KUSI-TV. “I mean I literally grew up a 150 feet [away] from the bar and my dad still lives there. I went to Ocean Beach Elementary.”
Doughty said he hopes to make the bar and restaurant a place for musical acts, both local and national.
